Welcome to the freshly updated version of Von Allan's homepage!
While there are still a few odds and ends left to do, the site is ready and raring to go.  There'll still be some tweaking to do here and there, but that's not enough to stop the site from going live.  I did want to take a moment to thank my ever-loving wife Moggy for doing outstanding yeoman work on the previous version of the website.  Seriously, I knew nothing about HTML and she held down the fort while working on it in her spare time.  Pretty amazing if I do say so myself.

The Big News!

Front cover illustration from the graphic novel Li'l KidsMy first graphic novel, entitled Li'l Kids, is now available! This is a collection of three short stories featuring Marie and Kelly, the main characters from my graphic novel the road to god knows... as young (hence the "lil!") kids. It basically serves as both a background piece and as a way of rounding out their world. It has an ISBN of 978-0-9781237-1-0 and I have to say I'm pleased as punch that it's finally out!

There are a few different ways that you can aquire a copy. First of all, it is available as a free Ebook (in PDF format) right over here.  This is the complete book, all 88 pages, that you can download and read.  That same link will also bring up the various online retailers where you can purchase a copy (or you can jump to either Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk right now if you can' wait!).  

If you're not crazy about Ebooks but would still like to read the short stories for free, you can find them in my comics area right here.  Each page of story is set up with navigation buttons so hopefully you won't have any problems moving around. While all the links aren't up quite yet, you can also find the complete scripts and background writing that went into these stories in the scripts area.

the road to god knows... title cardSo what about the road to god knows...?  Well, the story has just finished up its run over on GirlAMatic.com.  I don't have a firm date for a print collection just yet.  There are a few art tweaks I'd like to do as well as working on the lettering.  Once all that is complete, the book will be ready to go.  And it should be available as a free Ebook, too.  

In the meantime, you can still read the entire story on GirlAMatic's website.  Either click the logo to the left or just click here to jump to the site.  



What else?

Plus art!  All kinds of art!  There's a bit more content still to come (the press area needs a bit of work and I'd like to have an RSS feed, too) but a lot is here now.  Make yourself at home and I hope you enjoy what you see.
